Srusti Swayam Seva Samsthe(R)

We improve community health, create awareness on social issues, empower women and children, protect the environment, and ensure access to basic healthcare for underserved populations.

Srusti Swayam Seva Samsthe was registered as a non-governmental organization (NGO) in 2017 under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1961. The organization began its journey by organizing health check-up and awareness camps in Shikaripura Taluk of Shivamogga District. Currently, Srusti Swayam Seva Samsthe focuses on conducting awareness programs related to environmental protection, child rights, women’s health issues, job melas, and health check-ups such as eye care, dental care, blood pressure, blood sugar screening, and blood donation camps. To date, the organization has successfully conducted seven health camps in Kapanhalli, Chunchinakoppa, Arasingere, Nagihalli, and the Bengaluru region, reaching and benefiting more than 10,000 individuals.

To empower rural and underprivileged communities by ensuring access to education, healthcare, sustainable livelihoods, and self-help initiatives for dignified and self-reliant living.

We organized an environmental awareness program by Shri Harish G.K - Environmentalist for school students, To understand the fragility of our environment and the importance of its protection.

Women health awareness program

Women’s Health Awareness Program was held on the 16th of Jan, 2020 at Chikkakalavatti. More than 40+ participants attended the program. Dr Dakshini, MBBS OB-GYN's discussed a plethora of topics including gynecological problems, knee exercises, lifestyle modifications and diet plans with the participants. The program was interactive with a “Question and Answer” session.

Free dental checkup and surgery camp

We organized a Free dental checkup and surgery camp at Nagihalli around 150 people were benefited from this camp. In these camp, we clinically diagnosed, each and every individual for dental diseases, people suffering from the major dental disease were referred to the hospital;

Eye checkup

We organized a free eye check-up camp in collaboration with a leading eye care-Modi Charitable Eye Hospital, Bangalore. The camp was organized in the month of June 2018 at Kapanhalli. To highlight the importance of taking adequate care for eyesight and wanted to ensure that the community has sufficient awareness of eye care and has a healthy vision. This program was aimed at providing the community with the status of their eyesight, making them aware of necessary care for healthy eyes and offer solutions to those who required it.

Dr. Venugopala G S

Chief Secretary

Dr. Venugopala G. S completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Bangalore University and earned his M.Phil. from Kuvempu University. He began his career as a BSW faculty member and has since acquired extensive experience in the NGO sector, working on diverse community development initiatives. He recently completed his Ph.D. from Ballari University, further enhancing his academic and research expertise.
